CEO - Zacchera Hotels

Born on 8 June 1962, he grew up on Lake Maggiore and graduated in Business Economics in 1986 at the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan with a thesis on the tax aspects of the hotel industry (supervisor Prof. Ch.mo Victor Uckmar).
After experience in leading Italian consulting firms and banking/financial companies, he joined the Board of Directors of the family holding company, where he coordinated the redevelopment and strategic repositioning of the hotel business through major structural and technological investments.
He is the CEO of Zacchera Hotels (a brand of SAB Alberghi di Baveno S.p.A), which has been operating in the hotel industry since 1873, and is listed in the Historic Brands of National Interest Register.
Today, the Zacchera group has 900 rooms spread over four hotels and one residence, all located on Lake Maggiore, between Stresa and Baveno, active in the mice & leisure segments, and employs 350 people.
A proponent of digitisation, paperless and eco-sustainability, he has implemented a strict “green” policy in all the hotels of the Zacchera group, which have thus obtained the authoritative certifications.
In 2014, he received, as a representative of the family, the Excellent Award, a prestigious recognition for those working in the tourism industry in Italy.
In 2024, he was named Hotelier Entrepreneur of the Year by Confindustria Alberghi, of which he is now Deputy Vice President.
He was managing director of Distretto Turistico dei Laghi, director of the Banca Popolare di Novara Foundation, director of Banca Aletti, director of Banca Popolare di Intra and deputy chairman of Intra Private Bank.
A keen sportsman, he enjoys paragliding, kite surfing, free riding and mountain biking.
