
Director of Acquisition and Business Development - Snøhetta
Born in 1971 and raised in a multilingual environment of Norwegian, German and Danish, Jette Cathrin Hopp holds a degree in architecture and has worked with Snøhetta since 2005. She is part of the management team as Director for Acquisitions and New Projects. Jette has extensive experience in both Norwegian and international complex projects, leading major international project developments and competitions. She regularly lectures at international architectural symposia, conferences and institutions, sharing Snøhetta's philosophy and design ideas, and is also a jury member for several architectural competitions and awards. Jette is also regularly invited as a critic at international architecture universities. Her experiences include being a team leader for the King Abdul Aziz Centre for Knowledge and Culture, Dharhan in Saudi Arabia, the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, Oslo, and as project leader for the development of a large hotel and resort in Hvar, Croatia. He has led major international developments with a focus on sustainability, such as the Astana Expo 2017 “Future Energy” in Kazakhstan, the Lingkong Soho Shanghai in China, the Elbtower in Hamburg, Germany, and, in Norway, innovative environmental projects such as the Powerhouse One in Trondheim and the conceptual phase of the Powerhouse Kjørbo in Sandvika, the world's first rehabilitated positive energy building.
