Artist-Architect and Interior designer

Hugo Toro is a French-Mexican artist-architect and interior designer originally from eastern France. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture from Penninghen in Paris (2012), before completing a second Master’s degree in Architecture between Vienna and Los Angeles (2013–2014). At just 37 years of age, Toro has built an international reputation through a series of acclaimed residential and hospitality projects. His portfolio includes the Villa Albertine studio in New York, the recently opened JP at Louis Vuitton restaurant in Seoul, and the Orient Express La Minerva, described as one of the most beautiful hotels in Rome.

Alongside his work as an architect, Toro has cultivated an artistic practice running parallel to it, dedicating himself to drawing, painting and sculpture. In May 2022, he unveiled his first furniture collection at Christie's. Recently, he presented his first large-scale painting exhibition, Aguas que murmuran, at the Institut Culturel du Mexique in Paris (2025), marking a new and important chapter in his artistic journey as a painter. This momentum continues with his first solo exhibition, Ojo de Agua, held at the Perrotin gallery in New York in the summer of 2026. Today, from his Paris studio of around twenty collaborators, Hugo Toro continues to lead an ever-expanding portfolio, which includes spaces in Paris, Miami and New York, as well as upcoming new international projects. His work as a multidisciplinary visual artist continues alongside his architectural practice.
